Beyond the Screen (BTS) is the flagship annual Africa Leadership & Development Summit convened by EASYNEC Global Impact, established to nurture Africa's next generation of visionary leaders by helping young people move beyond passive consumption to purposeful leadership, innovation, entrepreneurship, and societal impact.
It is an initiative founded on the belief that Africa's future will not be transformed by technology alone, nor by social media influence alone, but by young leaders who possess purpose, competence, character, and the courage to solve real problems.
In today's digital world, millions of young Africans spend countless hours consuming information, following trends, and admiring successful people through their screens. While technology has opened unprecedented opportunities, it has also created distractions, unrealistic expectations, misinformation, and a culture of comparison.
Beyond the Screen challenges young Africans to move beyond merely watching success to intentionally building the knowledge, character, leadership, and practical skills required to create it.
We exist because leadership begins long before someone becomes a CEO, a minister, an entrepreneur, or an industry expert. Leadership begins with purpose.
The Summit creates a platform for cross-generational learning, practical knowledge exchange, leadership development, strategic networking, and collaboration among people committed to advancing themselves, their organizations, their industries, their communities, and the African continent.
Each edition of Beyond the Screen focuses on a critical leadership or development challenge, bringing together diverse perspectives and practical experiences to inspire new thinking, strengthen capacity, and encourage meaningful action.
